How To Really Damage Your Shoulders In Training Or How Not Too!

Are you doing any of the below points in your own training/sports preparation?

1. Do horizontal pushing earlier in the session, week and training cycle than horizontal pulling
2. Believe that in training your back, rows and chins are one and the same
3. Don't deadlift (conventional bent knee deadlifts), clean or snatch reguarly
4. Don't stretch
5. If you do stretch the upper body, do it according the to latest flexibility paradigms (the people that endorse them typically make the most money out of your surgery and rehabilitiation). Interesting...
6. Train only muscle groups you can see in the mirror
7. Meet any of your personal ego/emotional needs based on your bench press numbers
8. Have upper body posture of an on stage bodybuilder...
9. If you play sport - particularly contact or cyclic upper body sport - train like people that don't
10. Take training advice from anyone that fits into any of these catagories. Trainers and therapists included!

This list is only scraping the surface...

Bottom line, do any of the above with enough consistency and you'll be contributing to your surgon's and physio's next holiday or mortgage payment!

The solutions are many and reserved for the serious, not the curious. But if you are just curious, a starting point would be to do the reverse of the above ten points!

It comes do to your values. Invest now in doing it optimally:
- posture
- training
- recovery
- programming
-tissue length
- tissue tension
- individualisation
- etc, etc

Or pay for it, big time, later...

Your actions will reveal your decision!
